My name is Nick and I was born and raised in Auburn, New York (located just southwest of Syracuse, NY in the Fingerlakes Region). I am twenty-eight years of age and currently work at Moravia Central School District (MCS) in Moravia, New York just 16 miles south of Auburn, as the 7 – 12 Instrumental Music Teacher. After graduating High School I attended Onondaga Community College (OCC) in Syracuse, NY for two years and received an Associates degree in Applied Science (Music). I then transferred to Mansfield University in Mansfield, PA. I finished my music degree in three years and received a Bachelors of Music Education. While attending Mansfield I was a member of the Pride of Pennsylvania Marching Band (The Mounties) and a brother of Phi Mu Alpha Senoia – a men’s music fraternity. I also finished a 6 year run with the Rochester Patriots Drum and Bugle Corps, which I joined back in high school with my best friend Jefe. We won the DCI World Championships in 1999. Unfortunately the Patriots folded at the end of the 2003 Drum Corps Season. However, there is progress and they are attempting to come back. Also while attending Mansfield University I had the opportunity to be a member of the Knoebel’s Brass Band (great job). I spent two summers playing tuba with that group at the Knoebel’s Family Amusement Park in Elysburg, PA. In the summer of 2002 I got the job at Moravia Central School and after 5 years of being away I was able to return to my hometown and my home state. In August 2006, I graduated from Lemoyne College in Syracuse, NY with my Masters in General Education and Curriculum Development.
I currently reside in Auburn, NY.
